Kyndra Brown: Freedom in Healing

As we did last year, we are posting information on the different Breakout Speakers and sessions at our Awaken Women’s Retreat in October.  If you’d like more information, please click on the Awaken 2015 tab.  All the details are located there!  We’d love to have you if you haven’t signed up, have been every year or have never been!

The first breakout speaker we’d like to introduce you to for Awaken 2015 is Kyndra Brown.

Kyndra

Kyndra’s session is titled “Freedom in Healing” and the specific information for her class is: “We all experience grief or loss, which can leave a hole in our heart. Join me as we take the necessary steps to walk out of pain, hopelessness and anger, into complete freedom.”

We asked Kyndra for some details on her class. The questions we asked and her responses are below.

AW: Kyndra, you’re teaching your class for the third time on loss. Without giving away too much of your message, tell the ladies a little bit about your topic.

KB: I plan to show how grief is a part of life and give an example of a Brave woman in the Bible that gives us lessons on how to honor God during great loss.

AW: Why is it important to talk about such a sensitive subject?

KB: Grief is a feeling that will impact every woman at some point in her lifetime. I want women to know a healthy way to deal with grief, maintain fellowship with Jesus and honor God through the process.

AW: Why do you feel this topic is important, specifically for women?

KB: In order to be Brave, we will have to learn to deal with loss of all kinds.

AW: What do you hope that women will take away from your class?

KB: Grief is normal, so I want them to walk away with a plan to deal with it in a way that honors God and improve relationships with their loved ones.

AW: Is there anything else about your topic or class that you’d like to share with the ladies?

KB: Whether you are dealing with grief, have dealt with grief or know someone dealing with grief, you will learn how to be Brave and understand the process of grief.

Kyndra’s class is one of the optional afternoon sessions. It will be on Friday afternoon at 1:00pm. There will be a symbolic balloon release immediately following this class for those that attend.

Thank you, Kyndra!! 🙂

Stay tuned each Monday for a new speaker profile and session to be posted.
